Registration Terms and Conditions

A. Registration Agreement and Process
1. By registering for and/or attending the Self-Direction Conference, all participants agree to be bound by, and comply with, these Terms and Conditions. It is the participant's responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions.
2. Discount rates are assigned by the Self-Direction Conference registration staff. Applied Self-Direction (ASD) reserves the right to cancel any registrations using unauthorized discount codes.
3. Conference registrations will not be confirmed until the completed form and the correct payment is received and processed.
4. Registrants will be able to select the early bird registration fee up until 2/28/2022. If payment has not been received and confirmed by ASD by 2/28/2022, registrants will be charged the standard conference fee. This applies to registrants submitting any payments that are incomplete for any reason.
5. Registrations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Capacity is limited to venue policy.
6. Accommodation costs are not included in the conference registration fee. Attendees are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements.

B.Cancellation Policy
1. All tickets are nonrefundable
2. Substitutions may be made at any time. If you wish to substitute a registrant, please contact ASD at the earliest opportunity.
3. In the event of fire, flood, restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, or without limit other causes that ASD reasonably believes to be substantial or that are beyond ASD's control, ASD reserves the right to change the times, dates, and the venue of the conference (including changing the conference to virtual), without incurring any liability to the registrants.

C. Health and Safety Protocols
ASD will implement health-and-safety protocols appropriate to the public health circumstances existing at the time of the conference. Those protocols may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• testing;
• proof of negative COVID-19 status and/or vaccination and/or antibody status;
• self-monitoring;
• biometric screening;
• symptom checkers;
• contact tracing;
• wearing a mask mandate;
• use of additional personal protective equipment, social distancing, and space management; and/or
• other similar measures.

Compliance with some or all of the protocols adopted by ASD may be mandatory for in-person attendance and participation at the Conference. Additional information regarding the specific health and safety measures, and any necessary consents by you, will be communicated to attendees prior to the first day of the Conference.

D. Conference Activities
1. Self-Direction Conference attendees are expected to behave professionally. Excessive use of obscene language, abusive behavior, or threatening behavior directed to any other conference attendee is not conducive to a learning environment.

E. Personal Information
1. Please note that registration contact details will be kept on the ASD database, which will only be used by ASD. ASD does not record or store credit card information.
2. Unless ASD has received an explicit request from a registrant disallowing to share his/her contact information, a list of all attendees, their affiliation institutions, and email addresses will be included in the sponsor packs, or elsewhere at ASD’s discretion.
3. Email addresses will be used to circulate Conference details and announcements of future ASD events.
4. If you would like your contact information removed from the ASD database at any point, please notify ASD by email ([email protected]).
5. ASD may take photographic and video material of participants at Self-Direction Conference events. In registering for the Self-Direction Conference, you grant ASD an exclusive, worldwide royalty-free license to publish images of yourself intact or in part in various publications, internet web pages, press releases, promotional activities, or other media related to ASD.

F.Disclaimer
1. Self-Direction Conference registrants are required to comply with the rules and regulations governing the applicable venue and/or accommodation.
2. ASD accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
3. The advice and information shared at the Self-Direction Conference is not meant to be applicable to any one specific set of facts or circumstances. You as the registrant bear the obligation to apply your own professional judgment in the use of the information provided at the Self-Direction Conference. In no circumstances should any information provided at the Self-Direction Conference be considered legal advice or intended to address any legal question. You as the registrant shall retain the independent obligation to seek legal counsel with respect to any interpretation of and compliance with applicable laws or regulations.
4. The registrant by accepting these terms and conditions hereby indemnifies ASD and its organizers and agents against and holds it harmless from all or any loss or damage, injury, actions, proceedings, or claims arising from any act or omission of the participant during the course of the Self-Direction Conference.
5. The registrant shall indemnify ASD for any costs, losses, or damages that ASD pays to the venue, accommodation, or any other supplier connected to the event following (i) any breach by any of the registrants of the relevant rules and regulations relating to the venue or accommodation; (ii) any damage done to that venue or accommodation or any equipment thereon by any of the registrants, including, but not limited to, any equipment provided for the event; and (iii) any injury suffered by any person, animal or item caused by or in consequence of any act or omission of any of the registrants.
